Siobhan Stewart- General Manager
Siobhan Stewart is a senior journalism major, Spanish minor from Frederick, Maryland. She serves as Spotlight’s General Manager for the 2018-2019 school year. She has been a member of Spotlight for three years. Throughout her college career she has had two internships and studied abroad in Seville, Spain.

Morgan Richard- Entertainment Director
Morgan Richard is a senior studying Media Management and Business Administration from New Orleans, LA by way of Houston, TX. She serves as Spotlight’s Entertainment Director for the 2018-2019 school year. She has interned at CNN, NBC, and D.C. Office of Cable Television. She currently works at iHeartMedia in Promotions. Morgan hopes to pursue a career in entertainment media upon graduation.

Journey Rucker- Director of Operations
Journey Rucker is a junior studying Journalism in the Cathy Hughes School of Communications. She is from Fort Mill, South Carolina. She serves as Spotlight’s Director of Operations for the 2018-2019 school year. She interned for the office of Congresswoman Alma Adams and is a member of the Annenberg Honors Program. Upon graduation, she plans to have a career in broadcast television or multimedia education.

Eva Mayanja- Programming Director
Eva Mayanja is a senior studying Psychology and Mathematics from Boston, MA by way of Laurel, MD. She serves as Spotlight’s Programming Director for the 2018-2019 school year. Her artistic passion is screenwriting, and she has worked on set shooting films and music videos with well known artists such as Lil Mama and Wale. While on campus, Eva is a mentor for the Bison Guru Group, and an active member of the Bison Yearbook, the Office of Undergraduate Studies, and HerCampus HU. She has conducted several research studies with graduate students at Howard University, and hopes to pursue a career in statistical research.

Alethia Tilford- Programming Chair
Alethia Tilford is a senior Organizational Communications major, Spanish minor from Milwaukee, WI. She serves as Spotlight’s programming chair for the 2018-2019 school year. This is her third year with Spotlight and fourth with WHUT. Alethia have interned with ManPower Group, the Mayor’s office and the State Department. After college, She plans to become a radio personnel and/or TV producer.”

Tia Lowe- Executive Secretary
Tia Lowe is Broadcast Journalism Major from Bossier City, Louisiana. She serves as Spotlight’s Executive Secretary for the 2018-2019 year. She is very active on campus.She is a member of HUABJ, Louisiana club and 1867. She currently serves as the Cathy Hughes School of Communications chief of staff. This previous summer Tia interned at KMSS FOX 33 in Shreveport, Louisiana. It is a goal of hers to have an internship every summer; “each one better than the next!” Upon graduating in 2021, she plans to work for an entertainment media outlet that makes content that caters to Black culture.

Sidney Stewart- Production(Co-director)
Sidney Stewart is a Junior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic, Legal, Management Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Minor in Business Administration from Charlotte, NC. She serves as Spotlight’s Co-Director of Production for the 2018-2019 school year . She has served as a Digital Content Creator for WHBC 96.3 HD3 and been a Social Media Ambassador for the Multicultural, Media and Telecom Council. She currently works as a freelance photographer and videographer. Sidney hopes to pursue a career in Social Media Marketing and Digital Media Management upon graduation.

Arthur Cribbs- Production (Co-Director)
Arthur Cribbs is a sophomore journalism major from Los Angeles, CA.He serves as Spotlight’s Co-Director of Production for the 2018-2019 school year. He previously wrote for an online publication known as FreshU HBCU and interned as a staff writer for Dodgers Nation. Arthur hopes to pursue a career in sports media.

Alexus Lyles- Communications & Branding
Alexus Lyles is a junior Public Relations major business minor from Silver Spring, Maryland. She serves as Spotlight’s Communications and branding director for the 2018-2019 school year. Alexus is a transfer student from University of Cincinnati and has interned at Radio One in both the Cincinnati and D.C. markets and Frost Brown Todd LLC. Alexus plans to pursue her career in entertainment media and becoming an entrepreneur following graduation.

Kamilah Tom- News Director
Kamilah Tom is a senior journalism major, political science minor from San Francisco, Ca. She serves as Spotlight’s News Director for the 2018-2019 school year. She is passionate about traveling the African Diaspora and telling visual stories of those that she encounters. She has interned in Cape Town, South Africa with online news publications GroundUp and Daily Maverick. Recently, she completed an internship with Manglar Films where she directed, produced and edited her first documentary film in Panama City, Panama. Starting the 2018 fall semester, she will begin her internship with Voice of America as a television producer for their TV programs “Straight Talk Africa” and “Africa 54.”

Amber Robinson- Web Editor
Amber Robinson is a Broadcast journalism major from Hagerstown MD. She is Spotlight’s Web Editor for the 2018-2019 School year. Amber is very active on campus. She is involved in many organizations and clubs like, HUABJ, TLT Blogshow, HU HerCampus and Howard Gospel Choir. This summer, Amber had the opportunity to intern at WDVM studios, a local television station. Her goal is to become an Anchor or an Entertainment reporter for a large market in the future.
